We are all packed up and staying the night at Tony's parents before we leave for Montgomery AL tomorrow morning. So I'm signing off for a while. We are doing the smart thing and staying with our friend for a little while we find the perfect place in our price range, and that will give us the chance to focus on our jobs, me finding the lay of the land (tony already knows it) so that'll be good. I'll be "dealing" without all my stuff and my privacy, but I just need to give it some time and it will all turn out. I"m bringing my computer with me though so atleast I'll still be able to keep in touch!
Love you all~ keep me updated on things.

Mission: Sucessful
So I'm a little behind on the Olympics because of our trip to scout out apartments in Montgomery. But I'm catching up. I DID see however Nastia and Shawn get gold and silver in gymnastics, and Michael Phelps get his 8. I still can't believe that. I didn't think it was possible because of the relays...but they did it. Amazing. Simply amazing. I love that I saw a huge chunk of history in the making.
Our Montgomery trip went really really well. We worked our tails off. All day Friday we were apartment hunting or going by our respective work places to finish up paperwork and such. Much of Saturday was the same. It was nothing like apartment hunting in Monroe. All the places we looked at are beautiful. There are SO many great choices it was really hard to choose. We had to compare all the prices to what you were getting for that price and location and etc. I was very proud of us. The apartment thing isn't under a complete wrap yet, but will be soon. Exciting!
Of course we made time though, for us all to go see Star Wars Clone Wars. (I'm so glad we're going to have an awesome, pretty, digital movie theater to go to) It was great. Lots of fun. We can't wait for the TV Series to start. Also of course I made time to go to Panera and Barnes & Noble, a*k*a my heaven. (to both of them) I'm so excited I'll be living right by two of my very own heavens!!
I'm really excited about alot of fall TV that is to start soon. It makes me happy. :) I also can't wait for great games coming out soon!!
I'm off to finish enjoying my day off, I leave with a recent medal count!

Signing Off For A Couple Days...
(Though knowing me I'll still find time for a medal update while I'm there, but just in cases)
It's 1:00 in the morning and I have to get to bed because we are leaving early in the morning for Montgomery to try to stake our claim, but I had to put up the latest medal count. Don't worry, once gymnastics are over tomorrow with the girls, we will re-take our claim on the medals. China is sort of dominating gymnastics.
We'll be back Sunday, hope everyone has a great weekend!
PS> Quote of the month goes to my mom. Our phone conversation went a little something like this:
*After making "moose sounds" to me because they had heard moose that morning so she was trying to tell me what they sounded like...with out me asking*
Mom: "How are the Olympics going?"
Me: "Fine mom"
Mom: "Have they done the ice skating yet?"
Me: "No mom, that's the winter olympics"
Mom: "Oh..... Have they done the downhill skiing yet?"
Me: /sigh

Thank God For Super-Phelps
He's keeping the US hopes up.
Gymnastics sure isn't!!!
Sigh. I was ok with men taking bronze. I would even be ok with the women taking silver tonight, if they deserved it. But I don't think they did. They messed up bigger than what that team should *cough cough Alicia cough* have. I'm with Mikey on the scoring thing though. During the men's I thought we were being scored lower but I thought it was just me. So I payed close attention tonight and I swear it was different. I mean even the announcer at one point said "that should have been alot lower" when one of the chinese women majorly messed up. But don't even get me started on the stupid scoring. Maybe one day they will have it as good as it used to be. But right now it is one big mess. It's just wrong. Alicia probably would have stuck that beam landing if she hadn't had to wait around for 9348729847238 hours before she got on! *grumbles* It takes really good reason for me to be bitter about a loss, and I'm bitter about this one. Something just didn't feel right.
Phelps was amazing tonight, he went first and put the US relay team out a full length and a 1/2 in front of everyone else. It wasn't even a race! They stayed about 2 lengths in front of everyone the whole time. I think they broke the world record by 5 ! Michael is now the most decorated olympian of ALL TIME. dang
My back hurts. :(

Yep, you guessed it
Tonight was a blast. I knew going into the men's gymnastics that the US team did not have much of a chance. Then they start sticking everything and just blowing routines away. I mean they were fantastic. Amazed everyone. So then they got my hopes up that we would get bronze, and then they started doing so well, hopes were up for us to get silver! Alas, the Japanese pulled out silver in the end, but it was a tough fight in the end for that silver. So for that I couldn't be prouder of our guys!!! China came away with gold, of course, which they SO deserved, and we got bronze. Yay!
Swimming on the other hand, was an entirely great and exciting night. The excitement never stopped. Out of 4 finals, the US won 7 medals, 3 of which were gold. Phelps got his gold, adding to his winning streak. It was defiantly swimming's night tonight!
It was a great night for the US.

Olympic Update #2
AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
I had my first freak-out-throwing-pillows-screaming-so-loud-waking-up-the-neighbors moment of the Olympics.
The US Relay swim team was the underdog. France was the full-out-no-doubt-about-it favorite. Earlier in the day, the French said they were going to crush the American's and that's what they came here for. That statement was passed on to the American team as fuel for the fire, but no body really wanted to step up and refute it because the American's were indeed the underdogs and France was indeed going to take the gold. The whole race it looked that way. Phelps went first and being the super human that he is, put us out in front. After his swim though, it looked like a sure bet that France would take it. The last relay man, Lezak, was a full length behind the French guy on the way home. First of all let me say that big moves do not happen in swimming. If you are a full length behind someone on the way home, you might make up a difference to put you 1/2 a length behind by the end of it, but that's about it. Half way through the pool, Lezak starts to look like he's moving up. Hm. That's cool. Atleast make it a loss by not that much. Then, he starts to move faster. What the butt? THEN, by the very end of the pool (all this happened by just 1/2 a pool) he's neck and neck with the French guy. Exciting! - but still going to get Silver. They touch the wall, and US is immediately thrown down into the #1 spot. That's when the jumping off the couch and the screaming and the throwing of the pillows takes place. Eat your words France.
Also, this continues to give Phelps a chance to take 8 straight gold medals, which I always thought he never had a chance of doing because of the relay.
Also, the US broke the world record during that relay.
/sigh of happiness. I mean, yeah. /sigh
The other high-..no, lowlight of the evening was the disappointing US girls gymnastics semi-finals. They had a terrible terrible showing. Falling off the bars, stepping 29378942374 feet out of bounds, falling on landings... I can only hope that tonight was so bad, they will do amazing the night of the finals.

Olympic Update
Well the first day of the Olympics did not disappoint.
I'm especially happy to have DVR now for my equestrian events, which always come on during the day time so they are harder to catch. Now I just record EVERYthing and fast-forward through stuff I don't like to watch. I've never had the Olympics and DVR at the same time so I'm just on cloud 9 about it. Teehee.
The highlights for me today were the US women's sabre team sweeping gold, silver and bronze... Phelps breaking the world record by a full length and taking the gold... and watching the men's gymnastics-not our team, but the Chinese. Cause dang. I think they should have gold already.
Here is the top 4 medal count so far!

Moving In The Right Direction
You know what I love? Having Chai Latte and Doughnuts this morning. MmMmMM Well, just the Chai and Doughnuts part. I happen to hate the morning. But Chai and Doughnuts make it bearable.
I guess it is a good sign about moving the fact that Tony immediately got a job without even an interview, I got an immediate job without even an interview (which is just part time at a daycare), and I applied for one and only one job at 3:00 which by 7:30 the next morning I had a reply back from someone saying they want to see me about it. That one I am really excited about actually. I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much about it, but just the fact that I got a response makes me happy. It is at the Taylor Crossing Animal Hospital. It's one of the best Animal Hospitals I've ever seen.
What's funny is I applied for it without knowing it is the same animal hospital I used to stand on our friend Meredith's balcony (her balcony happened to look over the hospital's backyard where they would constantly have dogs out playing with them) thinking "I would love to work there" I have tried to get a job at the vet's around here for so long. We shall see!
A great thing about this moving stuff is I am going through EVERYthing and organizing and throwing away and putting in my sister's garage sale. I mean EVERYthing. Drawer's, clothes, toys, books... It's very refreshing. I'm trying to be ruthless about it. There is always those things you look at and say "well, I might need it one day". That is the junk devil trying to get you.
The Olympics start tonight and that means I get to do frequent medal counts on my blog again! Oh the joy of life's simple pleasures. Well it won't be much joy if the U.S. does poorly, but I'm crossing my fingers that won't happen! My DVR is going to be SO full of Olympic goodness. That's how I'm spending my Friday night tonight! I have a feeling I"m going to have no night life for a few weeks...
Saturday we are going to Tony's grandmother's birthday party. She's going to be 85 years old. I hope and pray to God that I am like her if I am fortunate enough to live that long. That woman... she is unstoppable. Has so much energy and no big health problems. Must be the Mexcian blood.
Sunday I'm hoping Steph and I will be going to a make-up party, and then to see Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. I don't say it often, but I really need some GIRLY girl time!
Meredith and Lauran got me a ticket to go with them to go to the So You Think You Can Dance tour in Pensacola with them in November as a "moving present"!! Wooo! I'm so excited to see the top 10 dance again.
Well I am off to make lunch for the rugrats. I hope everyone has a GREAT weekend.
